If you live in New Jersey and have a low income, you might benefit from payment assistance programs such as LIHEAP, helping people to pay heating bills.
NJ USF, Universal Service Fund to lower your utility bills. Helps income-eligible customers to pay max. 6 percent of annual income for your natural gas and electric service.
TRUE, Temporary Relief for Unility Expenses, for those who have difficulty paying their energy bills. Provides up to $750 if you are eligible, to use towards your Atlantic City Electric bill.
When you do an application for energy assistance you'll need to provide:
Social Security cards for all household members.
Proof of income.
