Info on a few problems, causes and solutions regarding any refrigerator or freezer
Freezer not freezing.
If the freezer is cold inside, but not freezing - foods thawed, a cause might be a bad relay.
When that's the case, the relay is usually replaced by a new one.
Ice maker leaks.
If the ice maker leaks water into the ice drawer, then the ice maker or the water valve is bad.
You can check the water valve by pulling its electric connections off, water turned on and connect the valve with a separate wire to the 120V outlet. If no water comes out then the valve has a defect, otherwise it's the ice maker.
Metallic click noice.
If you here your refrigerator making a short light metallic sound quite frequently, then try to find out where that noice is coming from. It may well be the compressor that is making the metallic sound. If so, means that your compressor has a defect.
To be sure it is best to has a refrigerator technician look at it. If you want to do it yourself you might take the compressor to a refrigerator-parts store to have it checked. In particular the start-capacitor.
